We process responsibly sourced wood pulp into sustainable flexible packaging and labelling solutions used by leading brands around the world.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the role<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone at the beginning of their career who is looking to develop their expertise in Regulatory Affairs within an innovative manufacturing business.<\/p>\n<p>As a Regulatory Affairs Scientist, you will work closely with experienced colleagues to help ensure our products comply with relevant global regulations. You will gain exposure to a wide range of regulatory activities while building your technical knowledge and developing your career in a supportive environment.<\/p>\n<p>Full training and ongoing development will be provided for the right candidate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In this role, you will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support activities to help ensure company products comply with applicable global regulatory requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in providing customers with regulatory information and assurance relating to product compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Help develop and maintain regulatory systems, processes and documentation to support product compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Read and interpret legislation, guidance and industry standards, helping to communicate regulatory requirements and their impact across the business.<\/li>\n<li>Work collaboratively with teams across R&amp;D, Sales &amp; Marketing, Production and Procurement to support product compliance, innovation and customer requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to regulatory projects relating to food contact materials, packaging legislation and product compliance, supporting technical assessments where required.<\/li>\n<li>Keep up to date with changes in legislation and support continuous improvement activities within the Regulatory Affairs function.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>About you<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, curious and keen to learn. You may be a recent graduate or have some relevant industrial experience through placements, internships or an early career role.<\/p>\n<p>You will ideally have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Polymer Science or another relevant scientific discipline.<\/li>\n<li>A genuine interest in regulatory affairs, product compliance and sustainability.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>The ability to understand and interpret technical information.<\/li>\n<li>Good organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>A proactive approach, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.<\/li>\n<li>The ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The following would be advantageous but are not essential, as training will be provided:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience gained through an industrial placement, internship or previous role within manufacturing or a scientific environment.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of food contact regulations, packaging legislation, REACH or similar regulatory frameworks.<\/li>\n<li>Experience of continuous improvement or project work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What are we offering? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In return we offer a competitive salary, bonus scheme, 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays, Defined Contribution pension scheme, Life Assurance cover, Employee Assistance Program, Flexible Working (hybrid working considered) a Wellbeing Day, Health cash back plan and private medical and the opportunity to grow and progress your career in a supportive and dynamic environment.<\/p>\n<p>Joining Futamura means becoming part of a forward-thinking organisation that values innovation, collaboration and continuous learning.
