Customer Service Representative (Maternity Cover - Full Time, Temporary Job Role)

Reports to: Commercial & Business Systems Manager

Job Purpose:

Jobs in this family are responsible for acting as the liaison between the customer and the company. They provide product/services information and resolve any emerging problems that customer accounts might face with accuracy and efficiency. The target is to ensure excellent service standards, respond efficiently to customer enquiries and maintain high customer satisfaction.

Principle Accountabilities (tasks & responsibilities) –

  • Action requests for information by customers and prospects, whether by phone or email e.g. relating to products, lead times or contact persons.
  • Communicate and collaborate with our internal departments.
  • Have a good understanding of all the film types on offer and their applications.
  • Closely monitor inventory to ensure stock does not age beyond set parameters.
  • Have an understanding of documentary requirements for specific countries.
  • Accurate data input into systems to capture requirements.
  • Good communication skills, if appropriate, in the customer’s chosen language.
  • Coordinate with Credit Control to chase customers for payments in order to collect as soon as they are due, reporting payments, delays and reasons for delays’.

Senior Buyer

Reports to: Procurement Manager

Job Purpose:

To purchase goods, materials and services to ensure that Futamura’ s  operational needs are met, taking into account price, quality and delivery performance and to ensure continuity of supply of materials.

Principle Accountabilities (tasks & responsibilities) –

  • Commercially astute and numerate with good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Attention to detail and accuracy when negotiating and placing purchase orders within designated categories/area of spend.   
  • Problem solving abilities and able to work well under pressure identifying any issues which may compromise supply, resolving or escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Able to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks and achieve targets where set.
  • Build, maintain and manage existing and new supplier relationships ensuring that a professional and consistent approach is taken at all times.
  • Research and evaluate areas of opportunity for cost reduction through negotiation of contracts, improved terms of business and discount structures with suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Assess and evaluate suppliers and undertake performance reviews to ensure contract compliance and manage performance improvement activities.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments and engage with stakeholders and suppliers to negotiate costs on new and existing projects.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and contract supply for the storage goods working collaboratively with stakeholders.
  • Proactively engage in the Internal Audit process and ensure compliance to the required International Standards required by the business.
  • Deputise for the Procurement Manager as and when required to attend internal and external meetings, compile reports for the department, deliver briefs, and updates to stakeholders.
  • Assist the Procurement Manager with high value, complex, capital and project purchases.

Other Requirements

  • CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) and 5 years experience in a procurement role would be desirable

Occupational and Process Safety Coordinator

Reports to: Health, Safety & Environment Manager


Principle Accountabilities (tasks & responsibilities) –

  • Maintain the sites Process Safety management system
  • Assist all departments in Occupational and Process Safety investigations and monitor outcomes.
  • Facilitate Safety studies for new and existing plant.
  • Assist all departments in the Competency Management system.
  • Ensure the sites Occupational and Process Safety KPI’s are monitored.
  • Assist in ensuring the process safety knowledge of the site and assist with training
  • Co-Ordinate all Occupational & Process Safety audits and ensure actions are followed up to completion
  • Assist in ensuring compliance is met for all H&S legislation.
  • Ensure awareness of all employees the importance of raising Safety and PSIR’s.
  • Assist in reviewing chemical inventories in all departments and checked against the COMAH regulations.
