Stores Co-ordinator

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Futamura team as a Stores Co-ordinator at our Wigton Factory.

Futamura is a major global manufacturer of sustainable, plant-based cellulose films, including the renowned NatureFlex™ compostable films. Futamura processes responsibly sourced wood pulp into sustainable flexible packaging and labelling solutions used by brands worldwide.

What is this role?

To supervise the day-to-day operations of the Stores, ensuring the timely receipt, storage, issue and control of engineering spare parts, maintenance consumables, tools and related inventory required for uninterrupted manufacturing operations. Provide continuous optimisation of stores processes to deliver an efficient, resilient and cost-effective service

Key Responsibilities:

The Stores Co-ordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the stores function, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, control and distribution of materials to support business operations.

The role is accountable for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, ensuring the availability of critical spare parts and consumables, and driving compliance with company procedures, health and safety requirements, and 5S standards.

Working closely with Engineering, Production, Procurement and Quality teams, the Stores Co-ordinator leads and develops the stores team, monitors performance through KPIs and reporting, and promotes continuous improvement to ensure an effective, safe and well-organised stores operation.

Other Requirements:

  • Occasional out of hours support may be required
  • Ability to hold a forklift truck licence

What skills will you need?

  • Proven experience in stores or inventory operations within a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of inventory control methods
  • Good understanding of engineering spare parts specifications

The following would be advantageous but are not essential:

  • Proven supervisory experience (typically 2+ years)
  • Experience handling mechanical, electrical and instrumentation spares
  • Proficiency in SAP

Salary: Up to c.£40k depend on experience

Hours of Work: 38 hours per week
